Da Nang continues to hold fireworks festival to stimulate tourism

The Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee and Sun Group have agreed to continue to organise the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.

The fireworks will be set off at the Han River Port while art performances will take place on the sidewalk of Tran Hung Dao Street.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for June 8 and the closing ceremony is slated for July 13, 2024.

The 2024 fireworks festival will see the participation of eight teams, including seven international teams from France, Italy, the US, Germany, Poland, China and Finland.

The 2023 fireworks festival helped Da Nang’s tourism recover impressively after a long period of Covid-19 pandemic. The city welcomed 3.5 million visitors in the first six months of 2023, up 116.6% compared to the same period in 2022, including 930,000 foreign visitors, 11.3 times higher than the same period in 2022.
