On August 15, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and the Singapore Tourism Board signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) for the 2023-2025 period, opening opportunities to promote tourism in both countries.

Under the MOC, the two sides will collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote unique travel experiences in Singapore and advertise Vietnam Airlines as a favourite option for Vietnamese passengers.

According to Dang Ngoc Hoa – Chairman of the Vietnam Airlines' Board of Directors, Vietnam Airlines sees the cooperation with the Singapore Tourism Board as a solid foundation for further extensive collaborations in the future, aiming to strongly promote the recovery of the tourism industry in both countries and enhance the friendship between Vietnam and Singapore

Meanwhile, Melissa Ow, the Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, emphasised that Vietnam is a key tourism market for Singapore in Southeast Asia.

She expressed her hope that the MOC will help to promote the images of Singapore and Vietnam Airlines.

Vietnam is currently one of Singapore's top 10 tourism markets, with over 280,000 visitors in the past seven months, a 123% increase year-on-year.

Singapore is also an important strategic market for Vietnam Airlines in the Southeast Asia region. Over the past 30 years, since the airline launched its first flight to Singapore, more than 7 million passengers have selected Vietnam Airlines' services to travel between the two countries.
