Bac Ninh's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) expanded 10.56% in the first six months of the year, ranking sixth among Vietnam's 34 provinces and centrally governed cities.
The industrial and construction sector, the province's main growth driver, rose 12.5% during the period.
The province attracted nearly 9.86 billion USD in investment commitments and registered more than 4,470 newly established enterprises with total registered capital exceeding 80 trillion VND (over 3 billion USD), local authorities said.
Provincial leaders said Bac Ninh aims to achieve annual GRDP growth of at least 12.5% in 2026, requiring expansion of around 14.3% in the second half of the year.

To reach the target, the province plans to remove bottlenecks in investment procedures, speed up land clearance and public investment disbursement, and accelerate key infrastructure projects, particularly the Gia Binh International Airport project.
Bac Ninh also intends to attract investment in high-tech industries including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, logistics and modern commerce.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son said the province is prioritising strategic infrastructure development linked to Gia Binh International Airport and transport connectivity projects to create new growth momentum.
The province has also prepared land resources to encourage major universities and training institutions to relocate from Hanoi to Bac Ninh in order to supply highly skilled workers for high-tech manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence and digital transformation industries, he said.
Deputy PM praised Bac Ninh's economic achievements, particularly during the first year of operating the country's new two-tier local government model.
However, he warned that the province remains heavily dependent on the foreign-invested sector while supporting industries and localisation rates remain low.
Domestic companies also face difficulties participating in the supply chains of major multinational corporations, he said.
The central leader instructed the province to urgently review growth scenarios for the second half of the year, assign clear responsibilities to agencies and local authorities, and strengthen supervision to ensure implementation progress.
He reiterated that Bac Ninh should maintain its target of 12.5%-13% growth in 2026 while shifting from an extensive growth model to one driven by productivity, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transition and stronger domestic capabilities.

The Deputy PM also called on the province to develop rental housing for workers, continue administrative reforms and improve the business environment, while making public and business satisfaction a key measure of government performance.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai said Bac Ninh would translate the government's directions into specific action plans and continue efforts to improve the investment climate, remove obstacles related to land clearance and infrastructure development, and ensure full disbursement of public investment capital this year.
He expressed confidence that with continued support from the government and central ministries, Bac Ninh would achieve its double-digit growth target and move closer to becoming a centrally governed city in the coming years.
