Acknowledging the potential for tourism development, in June 2022, Hiep invested over 10 billion VND to realize Bau Tien community based tourism site with several items like stilt house to welcome guest, restaurant and accommodation place, boat to serve lake tour…Though the site is under construction, since early season of orange and pomelo, over 2,000 tourists have flocked here to gain experiences.
This year, many owners of gardens and cooperatives invested from 3 to 5 billion VND to build spacious and beautiful tourism areas such as Thanh Hai Agriculture Production, Tourism and Trading Cooperative constructed Hoa Qua Son tourism site in 10 hectares in Se Cu village; Binh Nguyen Clean Farm Produce Cooperative built Lang Thum Farmstay in over 30 hectares in Quy Thinh village in Quy Son commmune…

To gain the result, the local authority has recently developed tourism in association with fruit production area by implementing the Project “Developing community based tourism in Luc Ngan district in 2021 – 2025 period, with the vision to 2030”.
Moreover, the district launched programme “To to land of sweet fruit Luc Ngan” in late November 2022 with various chain of cultural activities to promote the potential and advantages of ecotourism, experimental tourism in fruit area together with special cultural identities of local ethnic people to domestic and foreign friends.
The huge investment from the owners of fruit gardens and tourism cooperative helped the tourism sector in Luc Ngan district create strong impression to the visitors and travel agencies. The district has welcomed about 110,000 visitor arrivals since early season of orange and pomelo, many of whom came from the US, Japan and Republic of Korea.
After one year of project implementation, Luc Ngan tourism gained both prosperious features and limitations like small road, few qualified accommodation facilities and entertainment activities …to prolong the duration of the visitors.
To recover the shortcomings, the district People’s Committee continues communicating to local farmers to revamp the garden, create fine landscape, care for the fruit trees, improve the product quality; instructing them to connect to travel agencies to build various tourism products to attract more tourists, consume more fruits; regularly updating new tourism products to serve visitors.
Special attention should be paid to growing and promoting fruit area under organic method, unique cultural events and traditional festival during Lunar New Year holiday and Spring festival in the Year of the Cat 2023.
The district needs to further invest in synchronous tourism infrastructure, attract more business investing to electronic car to serve the travelling demand of the visitors toward sustainable development.
