Due attention paid to creating OCOP product with Bac Giang trademark

(BGO) – On May 19, the Standing Committee of Bac Giang provincial Farmers ‘Association held a ceremony to popularize and implement Project “Farmers’ Association at all levels are core in farming under value chain cooperation and linkage, building and enhancing quality of One Commune One Product (OCOP) in period 2022 - 2025” (Project).

Addressing the event, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee (PPC) Le Thi Thu Hong also Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council ordered the party, authority, sectors and departments, especially the Farmers’ Association at all levels to progagandize, consult and instruct to raise the awareness and qualification for members and people about OCOP.

The Farmers’ Association at all levels must chair as the core in Project execution, focus on consulting and supporting to develop new products under six groups with priority taken to develop local signature products in associated with cultural and human factors.

The recognized products should be oriented and upgraded to build OCOP with provincial trademark. New products are created basing on “supply - demand” to expand regional and international markets.

The Farmers’ Association were urged to consult and assist economic types and organizations to join OCOP programme; prioritize toward practical support for cooperatives and businesses which must play the role of driving motion in connecting farmer households in the close value chain.
