New and strange styles

A luxurious villa called Rose Villa including traditional houses on stilts and thousand- square meter flower garden has been built at Bao An hamlet, Hoang An commune, Hiep Hoa district for 4 years. It’s called Rose Villa because the owner heavily invested in importing a dozen kinds of rose from England, Germany, France and Thailand worth 3 billion VND (130,128 USD) and building a service area serving food, drink and karaoke.

Nguyen Van Tuan, owner of Rose Villa shared, at first his family intended to build the villa as the family’s resort to relax at weekend. Then, they found it wasteful while the local lacks a place meeting demand for entertainment and events. Hence, they changed their initial intention into business purpose. The villa started receiving visitors since 30 April of this year without requiring tickets. In near future, they will provide more services including a swimming pool, entertainment area for kids, eco area and studio aiming at developing it into a community tourism site.

Wedding Land, an entertainment park at Phuc Thuong hamlet, Song Mai commune, Bac Giang city covering an area of 10 hectares has come into operation since this year with dragon stream, race track, grass- skating hill, Japanese garden, fairy waterfall, cuisine area and a studio imitating the architecture, Hoi An ancient city, Korea and Japan. In addition, it also provides food and drink services and electronic vehicles.

The ticket costs are 80,000 VND (3.4 USD) for adults, 60,000 VND (2.6 USD) for children at weekend and 350,000 (15.2 USD) for taking wedding photos. At the peak time, this park receives some 2,000 visitors from different provinces and cities in the north to entertain and take photos. The park will be provided with new items including resort, entertainment area for kids and ecological lake in coming time.

While the above destinations follow modern styles, Viet Phu Linh Giang at Ngoc Chau commune, Tan Yen district bears the features of rural areas in the Northern Delta with ancient houses, areca trees, river and a collection of antiques.

These models need encouraging

So far, a number of entertainment places under the model of garden studios have been invested in the province such as Song Thuong Garden and Sun Flower (Hoa Huong Duong) ecological area in Bac Giang city. According to the owner of Hoa Huong Duong ecological area, the ticket price for visiting and taking photos is 40,000 VND (1.7 USD) while it costs 350,000 VND (15 USD) for taking wedding photos and free of ticket cost for children below 14. He will invest in a community tourism site and swimming pool in coming time.

Rose Villa is an ideal place to organize events such as class meeting, camping and taking wedding photos.

According to the investors, they built the eco area and garden studios because the demands for entertainment, events and taking photos of visitors are increasing while the current infrastructure is insufficient. Besides, many people have to move to far places to take photos wasting costs and time. Their investment has contributed to meeting people’s tastes and gained dramatic economic outcomes.

Tran Van Dung, Vice Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the eco areas and garden studios are considered new tourism trends to exploit advantages of the natural landscapes, provide entertainment places and create job opportunities for numerous laborers. Thus, they need to be encouraged and facilitated in financial capital, land, infrastructure and training.
