Through the materials exhibited, visitors can revisit the historic days of the autumn of 1945, when the General Uprising took place across the country, freeing the Vietnamese people from oppression and enabling them to become owners of their country and their own destiny.
Of particular note are numerous documents introducing the events of September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming to the Vietnamese people and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and ushering in a new era of national independence.
Beyond providing historical information, the exhibition seeks to bring the values of the past closer to the public, particularly younger generations.
Through books, newspapers and archival materials, visitors have an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and losses endured by previous generations, thereby developing a greater appreciation of the values of today's independence, freedom and peace.
According to the organisers, the exhibition contributes to promoting patriotic traditions, fostering national pride, and inspiring a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to the cause of national construction and development.
