The first two foreign visitors to Thua Thien – Hue province were welcomed at Phu Bai International Airport.

On the outset of January 1, the Thua Thien – Hue provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to welcome the first international group of 200 passengers on Vietnam Airlines’ flight VN-1543.

The first two foreigners to the Phu Bai International Airport were Andrew Frost and Chung Mei See from the UK.

Last year, Thua Thien – Hue welcomed 3.25 million visitors, including over 1 million foreigners, an increase of 2.93% year-on-year. The locality’s hospitality sector strives to receive 3.5 million visitors in 2017 with a total revenue of VND 3.7 trillion.

Phu Yen local authorities hosted the first flag raising ceremony in the New Year of 2017 yesterday and welcomed the first visitors to Dai Lanh cape – the easternmost point of Vietnam.

The first foreign tourists to set foot on Dong Van Karst Plateau in the northern province of Ha Giang in 2017 were greeted with flowers and gifts presented by the plateau’s management board.
