Luc Ngan district and China’s Hekou district accelerate cooperation
Luc Ngan district leader expressed his pleasure to receive the delegates and briefed the guest on local economic, political, cultural and social situation. The district shared many similarities with Hekou district. The quantity of Luc Ngan lychee exported via Hekou district accounted for 50 percent.

In the planning, Luc Ngan is oriented to develop green agriculture as national fruit center, in which lychee is the staple. For recent years, the district has focused on directing agricultural production towards improved quality.
13,000 out of 17,000 hectares of lychee are produced in line with VietGAP standard while 500 hectares in line with standards of European, America and Japan.
The average output reaches 100 to 150,000 tonnes per year, 50 percent of which are exported to China.
Many Chinese traders have long-term business cooperation relationships with traders in Luc Ngan. The district has attracted investors to agricultural product processing factories.
Meanwhile, China is a country with developed agricultural processing technology, so this is a good condition for Luc Ngan to cooperate in this field.
Hence, Luc Ngan district Secretary Nguyen Viet Oanh thanked Hekou district for supporting and facilitating the export of Luc Ngan lychee to the Chinese market over the past time. He wished that the Chinese side would create conditions so that Luc Ngan lychee can be be officially exported to this market.
Secretary of Hekou district Wu Yang appreciated the warm reception and congratulated the outstanding achievements that Luc Ngan district has recently gained. He also informed about the socio-economic situation, the potentials and strengths of the locality. Through this business trip, Hekou district leader hoped two localities will further promote and expand economic and trade cooperation.
He suggested Luc Ngan to fully tap the advantage of the intermodal railway system between Hai Phong - Bac Giang and Kunming (China) - the economic center of Yunnan province while expanding warehouses, logical system to promote the export of lychee, fruits and other consumer goods to China.

Hekou district committed to further facilitating Luc Ngan district to bring local lychee to Chinese consumers.
On this occasion, Secretary of Hekou district Wu Yang cordially invited the leaders of Luc Ngan district to visit Hekou and seek investment cooperation opportunities in various fields.
Leaders of the two localities assigned specialized agencies to continue working and establishing a working group to specify the content of exchange at the seminar and meeting, thereby deepening the relationship in socio-economic development and cultural exchange between the two localities. Previously, the delegation visited and surveyed the lychee garden for export in Ho Dap commune.
