The scholarships are designed for students enrolled in the college’s 2+1 and 2.5+0.5 training programmes, which combine domestic study with specialized training in China.

Under the 2+1 programme, students study for two years at the BCIT before spending one year in China. During their overseas training period, each student will receive a full scholarship worth 120 million VND (4,600 USD), covering tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses and one round-trip travel cost.

For the 2.5+0.5 programme, students complete 2.5 years of study at the college and six months of training in China. Participants in the overseas component will receive scholarships worth 80 million VND per student.

Luxshare-ICT said the scholarship package will be awarded to 200 students majoring in technical disciplines and 100 students studying Chinese language.

The initiative aims to enhance students’ professional skills, international experience and employability in high-tech manufacturing industries.

Students who successfully complete the programmes will be offered official employment opportunities at Luxshare-ICT, with competitive income and career development prospects, according to the company.

The scholarship programme reflects growing cooperation between enterprises and vocational education institutions in northern Vietnam to meet increasing demand for highly qualified workers in the electronics and technology manufacturing sectors.

By 2030, the programme targets providing vocational training, retraining and skills upgrading for approximately 1.5 million rural workers annually. The employment rate after training is expected to exceed 85%.
