Bac Ninh vocational college wins three prizes at national startup festival
BAC NINH - Bac Ninh Electromechanical and Construction College (BCEC) won three prizes at the eighth National Startup Festival for students, held on April 18–19 in Hanoi.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), featured 135 standout projects selected from nearly 900 entries, with exhibition booths showcasing products and ideas.

BCEC was the only representative from Bac Ninh province, participating with three projects. These included “EV SMARTCARE”, a home-based electric vehicle maintenance service aligned with the green transition trend; a “Smart Parking System” aimed at improving urban management and reducing traffic pressure; and a “Heat pump system for underfloor heating and domestic hot water” designed to enhance energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

At the closing ceremony, organisers awarded top prizes across categories covering high school, vocational and higher education students. BCEC secured a first prize for its heat pump model, a third prize for the EV SMARTCARE project, and a consolation prize for the smart parking system.
The festival aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students, promote a startup culture in educational institutions, and improve career guidance, employment support and startup development across the education sector.
