At the same time, the ministry is working hard towards completing necessary papers on investment policy for the North-South high-speed railway project to submit to authorised authorities for approval. It will also push ahead with preparations for investment in major national railway routes such as Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho, Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, Long Thanh-Thu Thiem and Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong.

Also this year, the Transport Ministry is assisting localities in completing procedures for 11 expressway projects.

The ministry is taking drastic and concerted solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital, help ministries, sectors and local administrations remove obstacles in ground clearance, and supervise the working pace of contractors and consultants in key projects of national and sectoral importance.
