Launched in October 2025 under the theme “Bac Ninh takes off,” the 2026 competition features two tournaments.

The Bac Ninh Robocon 2026 tournament is open to children and teenagers aged 9 to 18 who live and study in the province. Meanwhile, the expanded Bac Ninh Robocon 2026 tournament is open to contestants nationwide aged 9 to 22. Registration for the expanded event will begin in April 2026, with the final round scheduled for July 2026.

The qualifying round of the Bac Ninh Robocon 2026 tournament will begin on the afternoon of March 7 at the provincial gymnasium in the southern urban area of Bac Giang ward.

Teams will design robots using simulation software and program them to complete tasks set by the Organizing Committee on a virtual competition field. Each team may include up to three members and one instructor. Contestants are divided into three age groups: primary school (9–11), lower secondary school (12–15) and upper secondary school (16–18).

The qualifiers will be held in a combined in-person and online format, with scoring conducted via the Robosim software platform. The top 24 teams in each age group will advance to the final round, expected to take place in April.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will award first, second, third and consolation prizes.

Samsung awards scholarships to more than 300 disadvantaged students in Bac Ninh

BAC NINH - More than 300 students from disadvantaged backgrounds in northern Bac Ninh province received scholarships on January 27 under the “SEV Scholarship – Nurturing Vietnamese Talent” programme, jointly organised by the provincial Study Promotion Association and Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV).

BAC NINH- The Ministry of Education and Training on 19 January announced the results of the National Excellent Student Exam for the 2025-2026 academic year, which took place from 25 to 26 December 2025. 

Prime Minister commends Vietnamese students winning international prizes

According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), over the past decade, Vietnamese student teams competing in international academic contests have won a total of 434 prizes, including 132 gold, 169 silver and 133 bronze medals, along with certificates of merit. Many students achieved consecutive gold medals over two years, while some secured gold medals when they were 10th graders.

In 2025, Viet Nam fielded seven teams at international and regional Olympiad competitions, with 37 students competing and all winning medals, including 13 golds, 16 silvers and eight bronzes—an increase of one gold and one silver compared with 2024.
