BAC GIANG - Thanks to active introduction and promotion, the number of international visitors coming to experience the ripening lychee season in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) this year has increased sharply.

According to the Luc Ngan district Division of Culture and Information, since early lychee season, the district has welcomed more than 40 international delegations from different countries like China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, Australia and the United States together with overseas Vietnamese returning to visit relatives and travel to the lychee area with a total of more than 600 people. The number of groups and international tourists doubled the figure last year.

Indonesian and Malaysian tourists enjoy their first visit to the Luc Ngan lychee area.

Previously, most of international visitors to Luc Ngan lychee area come from China. A group of French tourists visits and tastes lychees at a garden in Hong Giang commune.

The above results are achieved thanks to joint efforts of the growers to improve the lychee quality and the District Tourism Development Steering Committee to actively propagate and promote Luc Ngan tourism, culture and people through various mass media.

Besides, the local gardeners and tourism cooperatives have actively invested in renovating and beautifying the landscape, decorating gardens and yards attractively, and well preparing the necessary conditions to welcome tourists.
