The US has long been one of Viet Nam’s top export markets, yet it remains highly regulated, with stringent technical standards, tariffs, and import procedures.
The seminar will address key challenges faced by Vietnamese exporters, focusing on consumer trends, technical regulations, rules of origin, import duties, logistics, and cross-border e-commerce.
Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency Hoang Minh Chien will deliver the opening remarks, emphasising the importance of strategic trade promotion to expand Viet Nam’s presence in the US market.
Do Ngoc Hung, Viet Nam’s Trade Counsellor in the US, will provide insights into American consumer preferences, promising product categories, and technical requirements.
Tran Thanh Binh, Head of the Rules of Origin Division at the ministry's Agency of Foreign Trade, will offer guidance on rules of origin, customs procedures, and tariff incentives under Viet Nam’s trade agreements.
A key highlight will be the presentation by Marc Mealy, Executive Vice President of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), offering international business perspectives on operating and cooperating in the US market.
With cross-border e-commerce growing rapidly, the programme will devote significant attention to supporting Vietnamese firms in building global brands and accelerating online exports. Nguyen Thi Hong Van from the Viet Nam Trade Office in New York will present local support initiatives for businesses.
Trinh Khac Toan, Northern Region Director of Amazon Global Selling Viet Nam, will introduce strategies to help local enterprises access Amazon – the world’s largest cross-border e-commerce platform.
Meanwhile, Pham Quoc Tung, Country Director of Wayfair Viet Nam, will outline export opportunities through Wayfair, a leading US online home goods retailer – offering strong potential for Vietnamese handicrafts, wooden furniture, and home décor products.
The seminar will conclude with a live Q&A session, allowing businesses to raise questions and receive expert guidance.
