The provincial People’s Committee approved for the project in August 2017 with a total investment of over 1.2 trillion VND (53 million USD) sourced from the State bond and the provincial budget. The provincial Management Board was assigned as the project investor.
The project included the main section of 20.9 km connecting the frontage road of Hanoi Bac Giang Expressway passing Nenh Town (Viet Yen) with Xuan Cam Bac Phu bridge in Bac Phu commune, Soc Son district (Hanoi); and three 15km subsections connecting with Bo Da pagoda, the national road No.37, Dong Lo commune and the provincial road No.288 (Hiep Hoa).
It will be commenced in 2018 and scheduled to be completed in 2020. The 12meter wide road with speed limit of 80km per hour helps develop the traffic system as well as connect the industrial parks and cluster inside and outside the province.
Especially, the road connecting districts of Viet Yen, Hiep Hoa with Hanoi capital and provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh definitely contributes to trade promotion and socio-economic development locally.
