China remains top investor in Bac Ninh by project numbers

BAC NINH - Bac Ninh province has attracted about 1,392 projects funded by Chinese partners, with total registered capital exceeding 10.8 billion USD, accounting for 42.1% of all projects and 23.7% of total investment in the province.

With these figures, China continues to rank first in the number of projects and second in total investment capital among nearly 50 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh.

Several large-scale Chinese projects are operating effectively in the province, notably three factories producing electronic equipment, network devices and multimedia products run by Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. at Que Vo Expanded Industrial Park and Nam Son Industrial Park, with total registered capital of 1.15 billion USD. Another key investor, Luxshare-ICT Vietnam Co., Ltd., has projects with total investment of 504 million USD.

According to provincial authorities, Chinese-invested projects have made significant contributions to Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development, particularly in economic restructuring, job creation, productivity improvement and the transfer of technology and modern management expertise.

Bilateral trade between Bac Ninh and China has also continued to grow strongly. The province’s export turnover to China reached over 2.471 billion USD in 2023, 2.637 billion USD in 2024, and is estimated at around 3 billion USD for the first nine months of 2025.

On the import side, Bac Ninh’s imports from China were valued at 8.979 billion USD in 2023, 11.501 billion USD in 2024, and nearly 12 billion USD in the first nine months of 2025.

Bac Ninh’s key export items to China include fresh and processed agricultural products such as lychees and longans, as well as electronic components and devices. In return, machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts and raw materials for industrial production are the main imports from China.

The vibrant investment and trade relationship continues to highlight the pivotal role of Chinese enterprises in Bac Ninh’s production and export chain, reinforcing the province’s status as one of Vietnam’s leading industrial and export hubs.
