Delegates cut the ribbon to kick off the ‘Thang Long – Hanoi: Historical Milestones’ exhibition.

The documents, photos and objects on display at the exhibition chronicled various periods of time throughout Hanoi’s history, from 1010 when King Ly Thai To relocated the capital from Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh Province) to Thang Long (now Hanoi) to Hanoi’s resilient struggles against the French and American invaders as well as the city’s current reform and development process.

The exhibits also highlighted the time-honoured tradition of the capital city as well as its remarkable achievements in promoting its image as a creative city and a safe and friendly destination.

The event will be open to the public until 9 pm, October 15.
