The craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings is a unique combination of folk knowledge, traditional craftsmanship and the aesthetic sensibilities of agricultural communities in the Red River Delta.

With special type of paper (poonah), colours produced from natural materials and exquisite techniques of woodblock printing and carving, each painting vividly reflects social life, customs and spiritual beliefs while embodying profound philosophies of life and aspirations for prosperity and happiness.

After the heritages were recognised, we define the significance of preserving authenticity of the heritages in line with enriching the heritage values.
