The international friendly match between Vietnam and Bangladesh will kick off at 7pm on March 26 at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi as part of the March FIFA Days, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced on March 3.

Hang Day Stadium will host Vietnam-Bangladesh friendly on March 26.

Following the friendly, Vietnam will travel to Nam Dinh province to prepare for their decisive clash against the Malaysia national football team in the final Group F match of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification, scheduled for March 31 at Thien Truong Stadium.

Vietnam currently sit second in Group F with 12 points, three points less than Malaysia, while Laos have three points and Nepal remain without a point. The upcoming match against Malaysia is considered crucial to Vietnam to advance, making the friendly at Hang Day an important rehearsal rather than a routine exhibition game.

According to the coaching staff, Bangladesh are viewed as suitable opponents during FIFA Days, offering Vietnam an opportunity to test tactics and maintain international match rhythm.

The national squad is expected to regroup on March 21 in preparation for the fixture. Hosting the match at Hang Day Stadium is also expected to provide favourable pitch conditions and strong home support for head coach Kim Sang-sik and his players.

Further details regarding match organisation, ticket sales and related activities will be announced by the VFF in due course.
