Seven Bac Ninh students win prizes at national youth informatics contest final
BAC NINH - Seven students from Bac Ninh province have won prizes at the final round of the 32nd National Young Informatics Contest 2026, jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Informatics Association in Lam Dong province.
The final attracted 248 outstanding contestants from 24 provinces and cities across Vietnam.

Held annually, the contest provides a platform for children and young people passionate about information technology, while helping identify and nurture young talent in science and technology.
A new feature of this year's contest was the inclusion of mathematical reasoning and algorithmic thinking in the official competition categories.
The organisers also encouraged contestants to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-based products to address challenges in education, healthcare, agriculture and daily life.
At the end of the contest, the organisers awarded nine first prizes, 28 second prizes, 56 third prizes and 91 consolation prizes.
Bac Ninh students won three third prizes, including Tran Manh Tung Minh, a student of class 9A1 in the 2025-2026 academic year at Nham Bien No. 1 Secondary School in Yen Dung Ward; and Tran Minh Dat and Luu Bao An, both from class 5A in the 2025-2026 academic year at Thuan Thanh No. 1 Primary School in Thuan Thanh Ward.
Four other Bac Ninh students received consolation prizes.
