In 2023, Ninh Son commune (Viet Yen district) chose to build exemplary new style rural commune with the dominant field of culture. The locality has many foundations such as 4 ancient Quan ho (love duet) villages, many artisans and Quan ho singing clubs.
Furthermore, local authority has paid due attention to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values, especially teaching Quan Ho folk songs to the younger generation at schools.
Along with preserving intangible cultural values, these localities also protect, repair and restore the above-mentioned relics. Particularly, Viet Yen district has invested in renovating Noi Ninh pagoda and Thuong Lat communal house (Ninh Son commune) while people and students in Hong Thai commune regularly clean up and beautify the landscape at Nhu Thiet temple among others.

According to Le Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of Cultural and Family Lifestyles Building Division (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the set of National Criteria for new style rural communes in 2021-2025 period in the field of culture has two criteria No. 6 (cultural facilities) and No. 16 (cultural titles). Preserving traditional culture is an important aspect of those criteria. This is also a valuable resource for developing agricultural and rural tourism.
