At the event.

The stamps depict images of Vietnam’s seas and islands such as Ly Son Island, Da Dia Reef, Ha Long Bay, the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and Song Tu Tay island, issued by France’s La Poste Group.

According to Bernard Combes, a delegate from La Poste Group, in the age of digital technology, the stamp will still spread meaningful messages. The release of the stamps is expected to promote the image of Vietnam in France, he added.

On the occasion, Designer Dang Ngoc Han presented a collection of ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) inspired by the Vietnamese sea and islands in France. She has spent the last two months creating the collection, printing images of the country’s seas and islands on to the fabric.

The ao dai fashion show was followed by a photo exhibition introducing destinations in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Phu Quoc Island and the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago.

Participants at the event also enjoyed traditional Vietnamese music along with traditional Vietnamese dishes.
