The event is scheduled on January 29 till February 12, 2020 (January 5 – 19 on Lunar Year of the Mouse) with the key spaces of Bac Giang city and the districts of Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Yen Dung and Lang Giang.

The Culture – Tourism Week 2020 in Bac Giang province will take place in Xuong Giang Victory Historical Relic Site.

The Culture – Tourism Week will open on January 29, 2020 at Xuong Giang Victory Historical Relic Site (Bac Giang city) with many major activities such as the ceremony to bestow the Recognition Certificate of Special National Relic Site to Xuong Giang Victory Historical Relic Site, Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival 2020 and Inauguration Ceremony of Upper Palace in Lower pagoda in Tay Yen Tu spiritual ecological tourism site (Son Dong district).

Also, the event features several activities, including exhibition of wood blocks in Vinh Nghiem and Bo Da pagodas; concluding and awarding to the photo contests “Bac Giang my hometown” and “Bac Giang tourism 2019”; Bac Giang’s competition of ornamental plant.

Besides, many cultural and sports activities will be held at Xuong Giang festival such as the cultural space of rural market, festival “Cuisine identity”, traditional chess tourney in Bac Giang city, caligraphy peformance, exhibition and showcase the cultural space of Truc Lam Zen Buddhist sect in Tay Yen Tu and freestyle traditional wrestling championship.

The Culture – Tourism week consists of Marathon to conquer Non Vua Mount; Tan Son festival (love market, Soong hao singing festival, mountainous market); inauguration of suspension bridge to Tran temple; Vietnam Poem Day; various events at Y Son festival (Hiep Hoa district), Xuan Lung – Thac Nga festival (Yen The district); Dang temple festival (Tan Yen district).

The event aims to introduce and promote the special cultural identities and highlight values on provincial tourism natural resources, especially the Truc Lam Zen Buddhist sect in Tay Yen Tu to the visitors so as to create the linkage to develop sustainable tourism between the localities in and outside the province.
