November is among the recommended months to visit Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam, according to international travel publications Travel + Leisure and Lonely Planet.

In an article updated on Oct. 11, Travel + Leisure listed April, October and November as suitable months for cruising the UNESCO World Heritage Site, when weather is generally warm, sunny and dry.

Lonely Planet also recommends October and November for visiting Ha Long Bay and neighboring Bai Tu Long Bay, citing mild temperatures and a greater likelihood of dry weather.

The conditions are suitable for exploring the bay's limestone formations, caves and islands by boat or kayak.

Travel + Leisure also recommends overnight cruises, which allow visitors to spend more time exploring the bay and see its scenery at different times of day.

Trips typically include afternoon sightseeing, dinner on board and an overnight stay.

Beyond cruises, visitors can explore attractions in Bai Chay, one of Ha Long's main tourism areas.

Ha Long International Cruise Port, developed by Sun Group, serves cruise passengers and is close to hotels, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

At Sun World Ha Long, the Queen Cable Car crosses the entrance to Cua Luc Bay, offering views of Bai Chay Bridge, the waterfront and surrounding urban areas. It connects to Ba Deo Hill, which features a Japanese-style garden with koi ponds, black pine trees and walking paths.

Bai Chay also has dining and entertainment options for visitors in the evening.

Vui-Fest Ha Long, in the Lighthouse area, features street food, shopping and entertainment, while Sun Bavaria Ha Long offers dining options for families and groups.

For visitors seeking wellness activities, Quang Hanh offers hot-spring experiences amid a mountainous landscape.

Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort provides accommodation with private hot-spring bathing facilities, while the area's natural mineral springs offer an option for relaxation during the cooler months.

With cruises, cable-car rides, dining venues and hot-spring facilities, Ha Long offers visitors several options for November trips.

The recommendations from Travel + Leisure and Lonely Planet highlight the bay's seasonal conditions, while nearby attractions provide additional activities beyond sightseeing on the water.
