The 41-year-old stuntman and his team strive to bring signature Vietnamese action scenes in a series of chases on the streets of Saigon.

"It took me a lot of time, especially with Tuan’s role. The hardest part was the authenticity, to convince audiences to believe in the martial arts scenes in the film," Samuel said.

Samuel was a stuntman for blockbusters such as "Fast & Furious 6", "Jason Bourne", "Spectre" and "Mission: Impossible – Fallout". He also worked as a martial arts director for "The Princess", "Kung Fu Zohra", and "City Hunter".

Tuan said that it took him six months to prepare for the role at the request of the director. The actor grew his hair for nearly three months, sunbathed to get his skin darker, and went on a diet for a thinner body.

"Ke An Danh" revolves around the main character Lam, who fights against a gang to protect his family.

The film is expected to hit theaters on September 2.
