After the master of ceremony (MC) named her, Kim Duyen greeted the Israeli audience in the local language, expressing her hope that she would luckily become Miss Universe 2021.

Prior to that, Kim Duyen was highly praised by websites regarding beauty for her figure and performances from the semi-finals.

The 26-year-old Vietnamese representative was selected by Global Beauties, an online source of reliable pageant-related information and news, as one of the most potential candidates for the Miss Universe 2021 crown.

Arriving in Israel on November 27, Kim Duyen joined other candidates for many activities such as sightseeing, taking photos, recording videos and joining training courses.

Kim Duyen was named in the top ten Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 and claimed the first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019. Following the competition, she worked mainly as a model and participated in many community activities.

India's Harnaaz Sandhu won this year's Miss Universe beauty pageant, which was held at the Israeli resort town of Eilat.

Miss Universe, which was launched in 1952, was assessed as one of the most prestigious beauty contests throughout the world.
