According to Tan Yen district People’s Committee, the district now develops over 30 ha of Dang Shen, mostly in the communes of Viet Lap, Lien Chung, An Duong and Quang Tien among others. The local farmers can harvest flower at 18 ha and roots at 2.5 ha with economic efficiency of five billion VND (213,700 USD) per ha per five year period.

The local specialty has many precious nutritions. The research proved that Saponin concentration of Dang Shen is the same as Korean gingshen.

The product is granted with “Nui Danh or Danh mountain” geological identification certificate in Lien Chung and Viet Lap communes by the National Office of Intelectual Property of Vietnam. The dried Dang Shen is recognized as 4 star One Commune One Product title by the provincial People’s Committee.

After actual survey at several producing facilities, representatives from enterprises expressed their impression on such precious properties of local Dang Shen as well as cultivation and caring method at the models that created differences from others in Vietnam and the world.

They pressed on huge development potential thanks to suitable nature condition, sold and climate. This crop can produce leave, flower and root for harvest then manufacture diverse products to serve customers.

The Korean businesses also introduced local participants about advanced technologies in growing, caring, processing gingseng, especially growing the crop from its bud to give harvest season after short period of time without depending on the weather. This model can be applied in Tan yen district to link tourism development and product promotion.

After discussion, Secretary of the district Party Committee Dinh Duc Canh said the district realized Dang Shen development project in the district in 2022 – 2027 period to expand the growing area up to 100 ha by 2027 and 150 ha by 2030.

Tan Yen district committeed to facilitating the business and investors at most to expand the cooperation, create sustainable and big material area; establish linkage chain with strong application of science and technoloty into producing, harvesting, processing, preserving and producing quality products; build and develop commodity trademark of Sam Nam Nui Danh as national product.

Bac Giang to export over 4,200 tonnes of processed farm produce to RoK
