Situated in ancient Kinh Bac region (northern Vietnam), Bac Giang is honored to have Quan Ho and Ca Tru folk songs recognized by UNESCO as intangible heritage of the humankind. Particularly, Ca Tru is in need of “urgent protection”.
So far, Bac Giang province has carried out a number of solutions to preserve and promote values of the cultural heritage in which teaching folk songs and models of Quan Ho and Ca Tru singing clubs are paid special attention.
Vasilescu Irina Cristina, representative of the Romanian reporters said, she was impressed by the folk cultural performances in Bac Giang province. Additionally, she highly appreciated the preservation of the local cultural heritage.
After the working visit in Vietnam, the press delegation will broadcast a program on VOR to publicize this special type of music to international friends.

VOR, established in 1932, belongs to the Romanian Government. Currently, VOR has three main channels including news channel, cultural channel and villages’ channel. Particularly, the cultural channel is the only one for cultural news, stage and music masterpieces. This VOR’s channel attracts the largest number of audiences.
Box: In 2018, Bac Giang province received and guided 4 delegations from foreign press agencies to conduct the programs introducing land and people of Bac Giang. This is considered a useful promoting channel contributing to bringing the image of Bac Giang province closer to international friends
