A teacher of many excellent students at English

(BGO) - Teacher Pham Thi Van Nga (born in 1984) was assigned to teach at Tan Son High school, Luc Ngan district after graduating from the Faculty of English, Ngo Gia Tu College in the northern province of Bac Giang. In 2009, she taught English for Bo Ha Junior High School in Yen The district. Teacher Nga has demonstrated her teaching quality for both normal students and excellent students of grade 8 and 9.

She always strictly obeys the professional regulations, prepares lesson plans, checks and returns the students’ test papers as regulated. As she knows English is distinguished from other subjects, she carries out surveys on student’s qualification at the beginning of each academic year for student classification to choose the excellent students for nurturing and weak students for the tutorial.

Teacher Nga guides the excellent students’ team practicing advanced exercises.

Accordingly, she applies the practical teaching method which is suitable for each student to encourage their initiatives. She said, “In order to help the students thoroughly understand the lessons, I use the Internet to collect conversations and illustrative pictures for my lessons in line with requiring them to learn new words”. 

Besides, she guided the students to take part in the English contests organized by the school such as “Ring the golden bell” or “English speaking contest”.

By this method, her classes have a high rate of good students without weak students. According to Phan Hai Hung, Rector of Bo Ha Junior High School, Nga’s lessons are always attractive for students thanks to the interesting and creative methods. 

The number of excellent students nurtured by teacher Nga gaining prizes at the excellent students’ contests increases annually. She has nurtured from 10 to 14 excellent students at all levels each year. In the recent academic year, one student of the school gained third prize at the provincial excellent students’ contest.

She not only shows her enthusiasm in class but she also enthusiastically answers the students’ questions in free time. Thanks to her great efforts in teaching, Nga was elected to be a leader of the Science- Society group of the school. 

Besides, she has won the title of an excellent teacher at district and provincial levels since 2016 and the title of the emulative soldier at the grassroots level for many years. In August 2018, she was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for her outstanding achievements in the teaching career.

Teacher sets example in blood donation
(BGO) – With 15 voluntary blood donations, Trinh Van Nam (born in 1980), teacher of the Cam Ly High School in Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province), has been honored by the Bac Giang provincial People's Committee at a ceremony commending blood donors in the province in 2018.

(BGO) – Today (September 5), over 468,000 teachers and students of all grades in the northern province of Bac Giang together with millions of students nationwide were excited at backing to school to join in the opening ceremony the of new academic year 2018 – 2019.   
 
Learning English with foreign teachers still sees shortcomings
(BGO) - Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TU dated March 31, 2016 of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, in the past two academic years, schools in Bac Giang province have applied a new model: learning English with foreign teachers. Initially, the model has brought about certain renovations, encouraging the English learning movement in schools. However, there are still shortcomings that need to be fixed.
 
Bac Giang’s teachers win high prizes at national teaching festival for vocational teachers
(BGO) – The National Teaching Festival for Vocational Teachers 2018 was held in Hanoi from September 15 – 21 by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), drawing about 400 vocational teachers and instructors from 63 provinces and cities across the nation.  
 
Teachers with passion for teaching career and creativity
(BGO)- Recently, Nguyen Van Nam and Than Thi Hoang Yen, teachers of Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology (VK-Tech) in Bac Giang province won the second prize (the highest prize of the province) at the National Vocational Teacher Contest. They are young teachers showing great love for creativity and teaching career who help their students to become good workers.
