President Vo Van Thuong presents the title of People's Artist to artist Ta Quang Lam.

Artist Ta Quang Lam (Manh Lam) from Bac Giang province was awarded with the title of People's Artist. He is the director, Manager of Bac Giang Cheo Theater. He was born in 1969 and has 35 years of work in the field of culture and art.

Manh Lam was awarded with the title of Meritorious Artist in 2012 and has won many medals and individual awards in national cheo festivals and shows. In addition, he also writes scripts and directs many art programs serving important political and cultural events of the province. He has been awarded with many Certificates of Merit by all levels.

This time, another Bac Giang’s artist Pham Mai Lan (Mai Lan) was awarded with the title of Meritorious Artist. She was born in 1984 and is now actress of Bac Giang Cheo Theater. She has 16 years of artistic activities.

The artist won an individual gold medal at the 2016 National Professional Cheo Theater Arts Competition for her role as Chau Long in the play "On tra, nghia den" and a gold medal at the 2019 National Cheo Festival for her role as Mien in the play "Nguoi con gai Kinh Bac"; played many main actress roles.
