ASEAN Women Community in Hanoi visits Bac Giang
In Luc Ngan district, the delegation was introduced about the locality and various types of fruits and some traditional and special products such as Chu rice noodle, traditional wine, honey and Kim Ngan vinegar. Besides, the participants visited the pomelo garden in Thanh Hai commune, learned about the cultivation and harvest process and experienced harvesting grapefruits.

On the same day, the delegation visited Viet Yen district to discover a land of rich tradition with more than 300 historical and cultural relics. Many Quan ho villages in this locality were recognized by UNESCO as intangible heritage of human being. In addition, this is a home to several popular traditional trade villages including Tang Tien bamboo rattan, Van village liquor and Tho Ha rice paper.
The delegation visited the trade village producing rice paper in Van village, Van Ha commune, enjoyed Quan ho (love-duet singing) and Ca tru (ceremony singing) performances and local cuisine, experienced traditional cultural space such as making betel nuts and wearing traditional costumes of Quan ho singers.

According to Nghiem Xuan Huong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Bac Giang is a homeland of lychee, kingdom of fruit trees in northern region and a locality of robust industrial development (accounting for 50 percent of the province’s economic structure). It is also a land of unique cultural features with 5 UNESCO- recognized cultural heritages. With these distinguished features, the province has been affirming its image as a dynamically and sustainably developing locality.
Besides, he hoped to receive attention and support of the delegates in promoting and connecting to boost consumption of the province’s key and signature agricultural and industrial products such as garment and textile products, electronic components and solar panels to foreign markets, enterprises and investors in ASEAN.

He expected the ambassadors and spouses would pay attention to, collaborate with and attend cultural events organized by the province such as fruit festival and big provincial festivals. Besides, he hoped the delegates would help the province to take part in the events organized by the embassies to introduce its potentials and advantages to foreign partners and overseas Vietnamese and attract tourists from other countries.
