Avocado is the most exported fruit around the world.

In particular, Mexico is the largest avocado producer and exporter in the world. Mexico's avocado production is forecast to grow at an average of 5% per year over the next 10 years. Mexico's avocado exports increased thanks to the strong consumer demand in the USA.

Regardless of the elevating competition from other countries, Mexico is expected to continue to increase its share of global avocado exports to 63% by 2030. In which, the USA and the EU are the country’s main avocado export markets.

The share of avocado imports from the USA is expected to account for 40% and 31% from the EU in consideration of the total value of avocado imports globally by 2030.
