The figure brings the total number of newly-established businesses in Bac Giang in the first seven months of 2017 to 706, up 63 percent over the same period last year, with combined registered capital of 7.3 trillion VND (some 321.6 million USD).

Sectors with increasing numbers of newly-formed enterprises include agriculture, construction, building material and services.

Meanwhile, only 40 firms halted operations or were dissolved in July, equivalent to 71.4 percent of the figure one year ago.

The positive results were attributed to the province’s mechanisms and policies to attract investment, encourage start-up businesses and remove difficulties for enterprises.
