Bac Giang approves for community based tourism development project in period 2022-2030

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has issued decision to approve for community based tourism development project in the period 2022-2030 to tap the advantages and potentials of local tourism resources to create new tourism product, divesify services and utilities to serve public benefit and attract more visitors.

Accordingly, the province targets to recognize community base tourism sites and complexes with signature tourism products; invest, construct and develop two pilot tourism models in Luc Ngan district; support the existing community tourism sites; welcome two million tourist arrivals with revenue of over 100 billion VND by 2025.

Bac Giang strives to tap the advantages and potentials of local tourism resources.

By 2030, the province will continue supporting to widespread community base tourism sites in Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Yen The, Viet Yen and Son Dong; assisting other sites, especially 20 orchard destinations in Luc Ngan. All localities strive to serve more than three million turns of visitors with revenue of over 450 billion VND and yearly average growth of 25 percent.

During 2022 – 2030 period, Bac Giang plans to develop community tourism sites in connection to cultural, historical and spiritual tourism; farmstay; culinary and shopping tourism; wellness tourism while polularizing local community tourism products via digital technology in the sector (smart tourism).

To achieve the target, 10 groups of solutions are created, such as to synchronize the infrastructure and pilot smart community tourism base; build a complete infrastructure, enhance State management and policy to develop the community base tourism; develop human resources for community base tourism…

The province strives to build and operate two pilot community base tourism models in the period 2022 – 2025 while completing the standard, rule and operational regulation for tourism sites and complexes by 2025 – 2030 as well as widespreading the model to qualified localities.
