After some infections appeared in Hai Duong province, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Luc Nam and Yen Dung districts on August 14 and 15 established 2 checkpoints for pandemic control in Buoi village, Dan Hoi commune, Luc Nam district on the National Highway No 37 and Dong Viet Ferry Terminal, Yen Dung district.

People are required to sanitize, conduct medical declaration and check temperature when passing these areas. Those who show cough and fever symptoms are not allowed to get in the 2 districts.

There are 16 members on duty 24/24 hours a day at the checkpoint of Buoi village, Dan Hoi commune. Thousands of people pass through this area each day. The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Luc Nam district on August 17 afternoon reinforced human resources and thermometers in order to accelerate checking health of passengers on this routine.

There are 8 on - duty officials at the checkpoint of Dong Viet Ferry Terminal during its working hours from 7.00 to 21.00 every day. The ferry departs every 15 minutes with about 500 to 700 people crossing the river per day.

According to the report, 284 cases returned the province from Hai Duong in which 83 self-quarantine at home, 13 are in concentrated isolation and the others self-monitor their health.

On his visits, provincial Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong shared difficulties with the work forces participating in the pandemic fight. He appreciated great efforts of the on-mission people who have to work in harsh weather and poor living conditions but they always raise sense of responsibility to prevent the pandemic transmission in the locality.

He reminded the on-duty staff at the checkpoints to ensure their safety first and strictly obey the quarantine procedures.

On performing duties, the members at the checkpoints should carefully screen cases with cough and fever symptoms. Besides, they need to note down information of the people entering the locality to facilitate tracing related to infected cases when necessary.

He urged the checkpoints to properly arrange the information-receiving section to facilitate traffic flows avoiding local congestion in this area.
