Bac Giang lures investment in high technology agriculture

(BGO) – Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee on October 30 had a working session with T&T Group Joint Stock Company (T&T) researching the investment on hi-tech agriculture in the local area. The event was attended by Duong Van Thai, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders from Departments of Planning and Investment; Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resouces and Environment and leader of Tan Yen district.

Founded in 1993, T& T is a multi-fields group with more than 60 independent member companies. The group has mostly invested in finance, development and real estate business, agroforestry, healthcare – education – sport, manufacturing industry and services, of which the agriculture sector has been focused on implementation.

T&T offered two proposals including T.Vita hi-tech model farming project in Phuc Son commune Tan Yen district and T.Vita hi-tech agricultural product processing project whose location is to be introduced by the local authority.

Firstly, the model farming project was planned in an area of 100 to 150 hectares to grow high-quality vegetables and fruits. During operation, the modern technologies would be applied such as glass house, membrane house, auto irritation and nutritious supply systems (imported from Netherlands, French and others), mechanization, automation as well as the special varieties.

Whereas, T&T proposed to execute the second project with the scale from 5 – 10 hectares processing various vegetables and fruits.

Representatives addressed Phuc Son commune in Tan Yen district as the suitable place because of many advantages in the region like irritation systems, inner field road as well as local residents’ production awareness and experiences.

Though the wide range of local agricultural produces created a high feasible project, it’s hard to gather a large area of 100 – 150 hectares. Besides, the local authority should consider the job redirection for the farmers after the land gathering.

Addressing the session, Chairman Nguyen Van Linh affirmed that Bac Giang province has been focusing on hi-tech agricultural development. T& T was a large prestigious group with rich operational experiences in the market. Thus, the investment would help build a modern agriculture sector and create higher value in production locally.

Chairman suggested the group to submit the official investment proposal for the local authority’s review and approval legally. He urged the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to organize the experimental trip to Ha Nam province then consult the authority the land hiring mechanism to suitable adopt to the local province.

Chairman Linh agreed with T&T’s processing project of 5 hectares and introduced them to Luc Ngan district for the natural conditions and geography advantages.
