Bac Giang mobilizes and receives over 1.1 million USD for Tet gifts

BAC GIANG - Responding to the campaign "Tet for the Poor" in 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Fatherland Front Committee at all levels and member organizations mobilized and received more than 47,000 Tet gifts worth over 27 billion VND (over 1.1 million USD) for the poor, near poor households and those living in particularly difficult circumstances in Bac Giang province.

To date, all districts, township and cities have had enough Tet gifts which have been presented to all poor households in the area. Many localities have paid due attention to gifting the near-poor households and needy people.

Of which, 13,273 gifts are for poor households; 8,152 gifts are for near poor cases; 10,902 gifts are for needy and other cases; 1,500 gifts are for other localities while the remaining gifts will be used to support the construction of damage houses.

Carp release ritual on Kitchen Gods’ worshipping day marks start of Tet
