Bac Giang promotes fruit-tree development

Updated: 14:15, 14/12/2016
(BGO) – The northern province of Bac Giang boasts great advantages in land and climate for fruit-tree development.

The locality is home to 40,000 hectares of fruit trees. Over 31,000 ha of which is for litchi growing, which produces nearly 200,000 tonnes worth more than 4 trillion VND (176 million USD) a year.

To make it easy for local farmers to sell their products, local authorities have paid special attention to building trademarks and promote trade for many fruit specialties.

Notably, a fruit festival was held in Luc Ngan district from November 25-27, contributing to further promoting Bac Giang’s potential and strength in agricultural production.
