BAC GIANG - The Ministry of Science and Technology on
March 12 announced the Provincial
Innovation Index (PII) 2023, the first of its kind so far. Bac Giang
province ranked 11th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
Bac Giang province scored 46.51 and 11th ranking. 2023 is the first year that the Provincial Innovation Index is built nationwide by the Vietnam Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation (Ministry of Science and Technology). .

The index set includes 52 component indicators (divided into 7 pillars including: Institutions; human capital - research and development; infrastructure; market development level; enterprise development level ; knowledge, innovation and technology products; impact).
The index provides a scientific and practical basis to help leaders at all levels develop and implement appropriate and effective policies.
At the same time, it provides useful reference information about the investment environment and resource conditions for production and business activities; necessary conditions to promote socio-economic development.
