The three day event attracted 65 athletes from ten provinces, cities and sectors nationwide to vie for medals in five contents of women’s singles, men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. 12 players in Bac Giang province attended all categories at the tourney.

Athletes Pham Van Hai - Than Van Anh are awared gold medal at mixed doubles event.

Concluding the championships, Bac Giang delegation rank first overall position with two golds and three bronzes. The gold medals were awarded to Tran Thi Phuong Thuy at women’s singles content and Than Van Anh - Pham Van Hai at mixed doubles’ contents.

The runner up were Thai Binh and Lam Dong provinces with the same number of medals (one gold, one silver and one bronze).

The tourney is held to assess the athlete training task in localities and select talented players to international events in the upcoming time, especially SEA Games 31 to be organized in Vietnam in 2022.

(BGO) – In the evening of December 4, the final round of individual content of National Badminton Championships 2021 took place at the Sports Competition Hall in Bac Giang province.

Bac Giang ranks second overall position at National Badminton Championships for middle age and older people

(BGO) – On November 29, Bac Giang sport delegation successfully competed at National Badminton Championships 2021 for the Middle Age and Older People recently co-hosted by Vietnam Association for the Elderly, Vietnam Sports Administration and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Lai Chau province with second overall ranking.  

Bac Giang ranks first overall position at National Family Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament

(BGO) – The National Family Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament 2021 closed on November 23 after three exciting competition days. It was co-organized by Lai Chau provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Sports Administration. Bac Giang delegation won first overall ranking with eight golds, four silvers and two bronzes.  

Bac Giang sport team wins three medals at National Excellent Chess Championship in 2021

(BGO) – The National Excellent Chess Championship in 2021 closed on November 23 in Ha Long city (Quang Ninh province). At the event, Bac Giang sport team won three medals (one gold and two bronzes).

Bac Giang to welcome SEA Games 31 in May 2022

It has been decided that the 31st SEA Games, hosted by Vietnam, will be held from May 12-23, 2022, having been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
