Since April 28, the tourism sector has become “warmer” with positive signals when the tourism service gained restart.

At Suoi Mo Ecotourism Complex in Luc Nam district, the number of tourists have recently increased. Since April 30, the complex has welcomed some 10,000 tourist arrivals, especially in hot day, hundreds of visitors flocked to the destination. The Complex Management Board keeps checking the temperature of all visitors as well as arranges resting place at the floating island.

All inked tourism contracts in the Vietnam and foreign country were cancelled while the company must allow staff to leave from work and support them a part of expense for living.

Together overcoming the difficulties

Apart from the self effort of the businesses to overcome the difficulties, the Government has issued instructive solution to support the challenge handling procedure.

According to Tran Van Dung, Vice Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) said the Department reported and proposed the provincial People’s Committee to review the policy to support the businesses and service providers within its management such as reducing the loan interest from the banks, delaying the time for tax payment, reducing the tax for land leasing charge...

If the Covid-19 pandemic is continuously well controlled, the provincial tourism sites, areas and complexes with service providers will become vibrant again in June, July and August.

Now, DCST made a list of 174 accommodation facilities in the province and sent to Bac Giang Power Company to get the support in power discount price due to the bad impact of Covid-19 pandemic in line with the instruction from the Department of Industry and Trade while further reviewing the remaining eligible ones to receive support.

Besides, the tour guides and travel agencies requested the authority to free the charge of changing and reissuing the card and business certificate within one year starting from April 1, 2020.

Recently, the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has assessed Covid-19 impact and propose the measure to handle the difficulties in business and production to boost up the provincial socio-economic growth in the next period.

The PPC Chairman instructed the DCST to accelerate the tourism promotion, coordinate with the tourism associations to build and implement the tourism stimulation programmes.

If the Covid-19 pandemic is continuously well controlled, the provincial tourism sites, areas and complexes with service providers will become vibrant again in June, July and August.
