Bac Giang restores national historical monument Bac Giang Stadium’s Grandstand B

BAC GIANG -  The Municipal People’s Committee of Bac Giang city on 8 October organized a groundbreaking ceremony of the project to embellish and repair the relic site Grandstand B of Bac Giang Stadium in Ngo Quyen ward. 

This is a project towards the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’ visit and directing the 1st Ha Bac Provincial Party Congress (17 October 1963- 17 October 2023) and the 128th founding anniversary of Bac Giang province (10 October 1895-10 October 2023). President Vo Van Thuong and other delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee of Bac Giang city Dang Dinh Hoan stressed Bac Giang city was honoured to welcome Uncle Ho 4 times among his 5 visits to the province. 

Remembering Uncle Ho’s teachings, Bac Giang city has paid arduous attention to economic development, investment in urban infrastructure and spending resources for socio-cultural sector, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage values.

Currently, the city is home to 45 ranked relics. The relic site Grandstand A (now Grandstand B) of Bac Giang Stadium witnessing Uncle Ho’s visit and talk to the Party Committee and people of the province was ranked as a national relic.

The approved project covers a land area of 2,279 square metre invested by Hanoi T&T Group at a total fund of 15 billion VND (612, 495 USD). Accordingly, the project will include the items: the relic signs, gate, flag pole, stone stele, fences, green tree campus, pathways and grandstand. The project is expected to complete on the occasion of the 134th Ho Chi Minh’s birth anniversary (19 May 1890- 2024).
