Leading us on the dream bridge, she recalled: "Previously, Cau River was like a boundary separating Son Thinh commune from Pho Yen city (Thai Nguyen). Therefore the bridge's opening becomes the greatest wish of the whole community".
Sharing the joy of smooth traffic, Vu Van Trinh in Xuan Cam commune (Hiep Hoa) could not forget the day in April 2024 when Xuan Cam bridge opened to traffic, connecting Bac Giang province with Hanoi city.
Xuan Cam bridge plays a strategic role in forming a traffic network connecting Hanoi city with Bac Giang and neighboring provinces, completing Ring Road 4 through Bac Giang province.
After being put into use, the route connects industrial parks and clusters in Bac Giang province with industrial parks in Hanoi and Vinh Phuc along Ring Road 4; helping effectively promote investment projects, creating new development space, attracting investors, exploiting land use potential, economic development and social security.
Nguyen Cuong, former Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, said that there are 3 “bottlenecks” that need to be resolved soon to develop the province’s economy, consisting of traffic infrastructure, institutions and human resources.
Recently, the province has actively resolved the traffic infrastructure “bottleneck” by building roads and bridges connecting with neighboring provinces.
Bac Giang province has a favorable geographical location, especially with 3 rivers of Thuong River, Cau River and Luc Nam River, creating convenient waterway traffic connections.
For that reason, in recent times, Bac Giang has focused resources on investing in building many bridges and routes to link to the region and with Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong.
Many years ago, Bac Giang built a number of bridges such as Yen Dung Bridge to connect with Bac Ninh province. Recently, the province has focused on investing in building Nhu Nguyet Bridge (phase 2) to link among the province's industrial parks, Hoa Son Bridge to connect with Thai Nguyen province and Samsung Group's industrial park.
Besides, the province continued to build Ha Bac Bridge 1 and 2 to connect with Bac Ninh as well as Dong Viet Bridge to connect with Hai Duong province.

In the coming time, Bac Giang will continue to build more traffic routes connecting with other provinces from the above bridges. This will help the province not only connect with neighboring provinces but also link to Lang Son and provinces with seaports and airports.
These external and expanded routes are convenient for travel, helping industrial and logistics centers in Bac Giang province spread to other places and economic centers in the region and the whole country, creating the province's attractiveness to domestic and foreign investors.
In addition to their role in promoting trade, the bridges and roads connecting Bac Giang with neighboring provinces also open up new spaces for the development of industrial parks and urban areas, creating a strong driving force for the province's comprehensive development.
The bridges across the river are the bridge to the future, lighting up the journey of connection, bringing Bac Giang closer and closer to prosperity and civilization.
