Bac Giang strives to complete Dong Viet bridge by this December
BAC GIANG - After more than two years of construction, up to now, Dong Viet Bridge in Yen Dung district (Bac Giang province) has achieved more than 98% of the work volume, reported the Provincial Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Investment and Construction Projects (Project Management Board).
The Dong Viet Bridge and its path were constructed in June 2022 with a total length of more than 811 m and a bridge surface width of 23.5 m. The bridge was built across the Thuong River to connect Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces.

This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in the province. The project is invested by the Project Management Board.
Currently, the project has been accelerated to ensure the plan. Particularly, 98% of the bridge was completed.
According to the Project Management Board, more than 60 workers are now focusing on paving the bridge surface and constructing the roadbed at the construction site.
After completing the bridge surface, the contractor will urgently complete the remaining items like painting the road marks on the bridge surface, installing the electrical system and expansion joints, painting the railing edges so as to complete Dong Viet Bridge this December as the schedule.
The completion of Dong Viet Bridge will help ease local commuters, ensure traffic safety, thereby contributing to promoting the circulation of goods and developing tourism between the two provinces of Bac Giang and Hai Duong; creating favorable conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters in the province.
