The province reaped many important and comprehensive socio-economic results in the first 6 months despite facing numerous challenges, according to the PPC’s report.

Its economic growth reached 14.14 percent, maintaining the first position nationwide. All production sectors showed robust growth, including the industrial and construction sector up 18.11 percent, service sector up 6.42 percent, agro- forestry and fishery sector 1.82 percent and product taxes up 10.59 percent.

Industrial production has seen positive changes, agro-forestry and fishery production met the schedule while service sector continued recovery with comprehensive growth.

The domestic budget revenues totaled 8.786 trillion VND (345.02 million USD), a surge of 28 percent against the same period last year, equal to 61.2 percent of the year estimation.

The education and training and healthcare have been paid more attention with remarkable achievements. The people’s living has been improved. The national defense, security and social order have been guaranteed when traffic accidents decreased.

At the discussion session, the participants also clarified the shortcomings and challenges in all sectors.

Concluding the conference, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong urged the departments, agencies and localities to concentrate on implementing the resolutions of the Government, provincial Party Committee and People’s Council as well as the plans of the provincial People’s Committee on socio-economic development with an aim to reach the highest socio-economic targets in 2024.

Besides, the PPC Chairman ordered to promptly rectify work attitude in performing public services at some places. The provincial departments and agencies need to improve quality in handling administrative procedures and performing tasks ensuring progress.

He also requested to implement synchronous measures to improve the investment and business climate, promote investment attraction, labour recruitment and remove b difficulties facing businesses.

In addition, the participants gave opinions on some draft documents at the conference.
