(BGO) – The Agriculture sector in
Bac Giang province strives to have 25 to 30 more products qualified as One
Commune One Product (OCOP) with three star rating and above as well as upgrade
5 to 10 products, reported the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development.
Particularly, the province targets to develop at least one national OCOP product with five star rating, focusing on potential ones with four star recognition such as Luc Ngan lychee, Yen The hill chicken, Luc Ngan Chu rice noodle…

To complete this goal, the sector has ordered localities to review the potential products to get national five star rating, instructed the supported the investors to proceed methodically and effectively, especially the criteria on package, label, market and product quality among others.
Moreover, the sector has consulted the provincial People’s Committee to issue supporting mechanism to the product with national five star recognition and introduce OCOP products at domestic and foreign trade promotion events.

In 2021, Bac Giang had 155 OCOP products, 36 of which got four star rating and remaining are three star products, helping the province rank second position in the Northern mountainous area only after Ha Giang and seventh nationwide in the number of OCOP products.

Two "Yen The hill chicken" products meet 4-star OCOP standards
(BGO) - With
favorable natural advantages to develop the hill garden economy, in recent
years, Yen The district (Bac Giang province) has promoted the development of
animal husbandry, especially raising hill chickens. Thanks to that, Yen The's
chicken meat paste and vacuum-packed chicken meat are rated as 4-star OCOP products.
116 OCOP products qualified at least three stars
(BGO) – As of November 11, 2021, Bac
Giang province had 116 products of One Commune One Product Programme (OCOP)
upgraded to four star from three star product including 34 four star (29.31
percent) and 82 three star ones (70.69 percent). It helped the province rank
third in Northern mountainous region (only after Ha Giang and Bac Kan provinces)
and twelfth nationwide.

Chanh Herbal Production Cooperative in Truong Son commune, Luc Nam district (Bac
Giang province) has linked to build material area of yellow flower tea on about
20 ha. To meet the market demand, the Cooperative invested in modern processing
line.
