Bac Giang supports investors in processing and preservation facilities of farm produce

(BGO) – The enterprises investing in the processing and preservation facilities of farm produce in the northern province of Bac Giang will be supported.

Accordingly, investors in preservation project (dry, sterilise, freeze and bio-preserve) of fresh fruits (lychee, orange, pomelo, longan), vegetables, flowers and crop varieties will be provided with 50 percent of the investment cost but not exceeding 1 billion VND per project (over 43,100 USD) to construct the infrastructure on traffic, electronic, water, waste treatment, workshop and equipment within the project barrier.

To get the support, the enterprises must satisfy such conditions as minimum fruit drying capacity of 20 tonnes of product per day; preservation capacity of 100 tonnes of vegetables and flowers per store, 250 tonnes of fresh fruits (lychee, orange, pomelo, longan) per store and 50 tonnes of seeds per store.

Additionally, the businesses investing in product processing facilities for vegetable, lychee, pomelo, pork and chicken meat will receive 50 percent of the investment expense but not exceeding 3 billion VND (over 129,500 USD) per project to build facilities of waste treatment, traffic, electronic, water, workshop and buy the equipment within the project barrier.

The investors have to meet the following conditions of minimum processing capacity of 5 tonnes of fresh vegetable, lychee, orange, pomelo and longan per day; 7 tonnes of pork per day, 3 tonnes of chicken meat per day to receive the support.

The value of processed products increase over 1.25 times comparing to the input raw materials.
