Bac Giang welcomes nearly 1.5 million tourist arrivals
BAC GIANG - According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first quarter, the northern province of Bac Giang welcomed nearly 1.5 million tourist arrivals, up 20% year on year.
The most popular attractions included Tay Yen Tu Spiritual Ecotourism Complex, Yen The Uprising Relics Area, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Bo Da Pagoda and Luc Ngan district fruit tree area among others.

Particularly, each of spiritual tourist destination welcomed tens of thousands of people per day during Lunar New Year and festivals.
This year, the Provincial People's Committee directed functional agencies and localities to carefully prepare conditions for organizing major events such as: Culture - Tourism Week, the 140th anniversary of the Yen The Uprising and the forest opening festival in temple worshipping Lord Then (Lang Giang); festival commemorating Xuong Giang Victory and welcoming the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize Xuong Giang Festival in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.
Increasing the use of digital technology in promotion and introduction helps tourists nationwide know about unique community tourism products and special activities at events to attend.
To achieve the goal of attracting 2.5 million tourist arrivals in 2024, the authorities have cooperated with localities to continue mobilizing investment resources to upgrade and expand community based tourism models in associated with cultural, spiritual, historical, agricultural and ecological farm tourisms as well as culinary and shopping tourism.
At the same time, the province actively applies digital transformation in tourism promotion; restores and develops intangible cultural heritage and unique cultural features of ethnic minorities; forms tourist routes to visit and experience fruit tree areas, create new tourism products...
