BAC GIANG – To mark the International Women’s Day March 8, Bac Giang Provincial Women's Union has recently launched various activities in response to Ao Dai Week and mass dance performances at the provincial Convention Center.

The event was attended by Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors together with more than 700 local women's union members.

This was one of the activities of the provincial women towards the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day, 1985th anniversary of Hai Ba Trung Uprising and 141st anniversary of Yen The Uprising.

The 2025 Ao Dai Week aims to further affirm and honor the value of Vietnamese Ao Dai (traditional long dress).

Speaking at the event, Nguy Thi Tuyen, President of the Provincial Women's Union, called on cadres, members and women in the province to actively organize activities in response to Ao Dai Week such as wearing Ao Dai on working days from March 1-8; organizing Ao Dai competitions, promoting the image of Ao Dai on social networking platforms, Zalo groups and the association's website among others.

Within the framework of the launching ceremony, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with a number of units and ao dai designers to organize a performance of ao dai costumes, mass dance exchanges and a parade in ao dai costumes.
